DAY 1: Adventurous Welcome to Iceland

Upon arriving in Iceland, 4x4 super jeeps are waiting to take us on a day full of activities. We drive about 20 minutes through the moonlike landscape of the volcanic Reykjanes peninsula to a small fishing village where we are getting geared up for an exciting ride on Quad bikes in bizarre lava landscape.
We enjoy refreshments before continuing with some off-road driving in the volcanic wonderland, stop at a crater and have the possibility to explore one of the many lava caves or hot springs in the area, depending on arrival time. Other highlights nearby include a walk across the bridge between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates and a stop at a lonesome lighthouse with spectacular views of the Ocean and seabirds all around.
The day ends with a relaxing bath in the geothermal water of the Blue Lagoon, known for positive effects on the skin, and dinner at the Lava restaurant, overlooking the lagoon and the black lava fields surrounding it. Transfer to Reykjavik and check-in at the Hotel.

DAY 2: West Iceland Glacier Tour with Snowmobiling and Glacier Buffet

The most beautiful sights of West Iceland are featured during the next two days. The tour starts with driving through the picturesque Hvalfjördur fjord and across a scenic mountain pass to the green valleys of the fertile Borgarfjördur district. We visit Deildartunguhver, Europe's most powerful hot spring with 180 l per second of 97°C hot water emerging, and continue further inland to the natural phenomena Hraunfossar waterfalls, which are streaming out of a lava field on a distance of 900 m.
We drive through the Húsafell woodlands and onward on a highland trail up to Iceland's second largest ice field, Langjökull glacier, where a buffet lunch on is waiting for us followed by an enjoyable ride on snowmobiles with spectacular views of breathtaking scenery. The day ends with a drive along the south shore of the Snaefellsnes peninsula which is dominated by the mystic glacier Snaefellsjökull, known from Jules Verne’s book Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Overnight and dinner in the old town of Stykkisholmur.

DAY 3: Unique Adventures at Sea and Wonders of Snaefellsnes

In Stykkisholmur we board a boat for a cruise on the amazing Breidafjördur bay, which is a world on its own with incredible bird and marine life on and around the countless small islands with unique rock formations in the fjord. A highlight of the trip is when a net is hauled in and everyone can taste scallops and sea-urchin roes. After lunch on board and a taste of Iceland at a local farm we explore the Snaefellsnes peninsula, called “Iceland in a nutshell” as it is almost like a miniature of the country.
The landscape is known for diversity with white and black beaches, bird cliffs, spectacular mountains and volcanic craters, rich trout lakes and salmon rivers, lush valleys, unique harbors in charming fishing villages and the world renowned glacier-covered volcano Snaefellsjökull. There are endless possiblities for short walks along the coast with high cliffs populated by seabirds and on beautiful beaches. The road back to Reykjavik takes us through the tunnel under the Hvalfjördur fjord. The day ends with private Gala dinner in elegant surroundings at a restaurant located in one of the city’s most historical buildings.

DAY 4: Departure day

In the morning you have free time for shopping, relaxing in a café or a visit to one of the fantastic geothermal pools and spas. The group meets for lunch at Gallery restaurant, famous for its Art Decor, gourmet cuisine and wine tasting. Afterwards transfer to the airport and afternoon flight.
